BIOMETRIC INFORMATION POLICY

This Biometric Information Policy describes the practices of Cartamundi Services NV and its affiliates, including The United States Playing Card Company (collectively, “Cartamundi,” “we,” “us,” or “our) and/or service providers on its behalf with respect to the websites, mobile apps, and initiatives (“Services”) that link to this Policy.
What type of biometric data may be collected?
The following information may be collected by our service provider: Facial scan data that is extracted from your photo or your identification document, which may be considered a biometric identifier or biometric information under applicable law.
In what circumstances may this data be collected and what is the purpose?
Our service provider, Onfido, may collect and use your data in order to verify your identity before you can make certain financial transactions that exceed a certain threshold on the Services. To do this, you may be asked to provide a photo of a government issued identification as well as a selfie photo to compare the images using facial recognition technology. Cartamundi does not collect, access or store your biometric data. Cartamundi receives information about whether or not your identity has been verified.
How long will the biometric data be retained?
Our service provider, Onfido, will retain your biometric data and the data you provide for identity verification until the original verification purpose has been satisfied but no longer than 90 days. Onfido will then delete such information unless directed otherwise by a valid warrant or subpoena.
