Prepare to embark on an incredible journey celebrating the Man of Steel as we proudly introduce our next digital trading cards collection, “DC Showcase: Superman.” Dropping on December 7 at 10:00 a.m. PST, this special release marks a culmination of our yearlong celebration of the iconic Super Hero’s 85th anniversary.

And, just like our previous digital drops, there will be some incredible Rewards Cards for the Hros who complete the full set and/or sit atop the community leaderboard at the time of our snapshot on January 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. PST. But the fun does not end there: there is a Crafting opportunity for you as well!

For now, let’s soar into the details of the collection itself…

This nostalgic digital drop features 38 unique card designs that capture the most unforgettable moments from Superman's 85 year-long comic book legacy, ensuring it becomes an essential addition for fans and collectors alike. In addition to featuring iconic artwork starring the Man of Steel himself, this collection also celebrates other characters who have taken on the Superman mantle over the years, and it includes first appearance commemorations of classic allies and adversaries who've contributed to Superman's epic storytelling.

Like all Hro digital trading cards, each card in the collection is minted with a unique rarity level. Let’s break down the rarity levels and how many cards fall under each one:

Hro Ember Cards As a reminder, digital packs will include Hro Ember Cards. These are special digital card inserts that may be burned at any time for the amount of Hro Points displayed on each design. Because the cards are intended for burning, all Hro Ember Cards contribute the same amount of leaderboard points towards the seasonal leaderboard, regardless of their designs or mint numbers.

Now that you know all about the collection itself, let’s dive into the different packs and bundle options that are available. First of all, there are two pack choices for this digital collection: standard packs and premium packs. The standard packs are $25.00 USD and include five cards per pack. The premium packs cost $100.00 USD and include three cards per pack. Why are the premium packs more costly with fewer cards? Well, they guarantee lower mint numbers, more Hro Ember Cards, and even a greater chance at pulling Legendary-tier cards and Hro-tier cards.

But wait…there’s more! In addition to the card designs presented above, there will also be seven more cards that can be obtained through our “DC Showcase: Superman” Crafting Event starting on December 7, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. PST. This event will take place while supplies last, or until the competition snapshot on January 4, 2024. Let’s outline these seven additional card designs and what you’ll need in order to craft them.

There are six animated Epic-tier Craftable Cards with 600 mints per card. For each of these, you’ll need two Superior-tier cards from the “DC Showcase: Superman” digital collection (Digital Drop #11) and 14,400 Hro Points. Each craft will redeem you a randomized full-color card and mint out of all six possible designs. There is a 30-card limit per account.

There is one Legendary-tier Craftable Card with 300 mints featuring an animated, full-color design of Adventure Comics #247 (1958). In order to craft this card, you’ll need the following three digital cards PLUS 22,200 Hro Points: the Adventure Comics #247 (1958) Superior-tier card from the “DC Showcase: Superman” digital collection, one Epic-tier card from the “DC Showcase: Superman” Crafting Event (see details in the paragraph above), and the Superman & The Legion Epic-tier card from the “DC Showcase: Multiverse” digital collection (Digital Drop #7). There is a 1-card limit per account for this design.

Now, we’re sure that you are excited to learn about those Rewards Cards that you’re competing for, so let’s get into it! The competition snapshot for the “DC Showcase: Superman” digital drop will take place on January 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. PST, which will determine who’s eligible to receive two brand-new, Mythic-tier Rewards Cards.

COMPLETION REWARD

For anyone able to collect all 37 cards in the main set, (every design except for the Hro-tier card and the Craftable Cards), you’ll receive a special completion Rewards Card commemorating the wedding of Superman and Lois Lane! As always, mint numbers will be assigned based on whoever completes the set first.

LEADERBOARD REWARD

In addition to the completion Rewards Card, collectors who secure themselves a top 150 leaderboard spot for this digital drop (and yes, the Craftable Cards count) will receive a leaderboard Rewards Card featuring Jon Kent taking on the Superman mantle!

And, as a reminder, the End of Season 2022 Digital Rewards Cards allow holders to be eligible to receive a limited number of FREE “DC Showcase: Superman” digital packs! There will be a snapshot of all End of Season 2022 Rewards Card holders on December 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. PT to determine eligibility. Then, based upon that snapshot, packs will be airdropped before the drop on December 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
