Final Hybrid Trading Cards Collection, Batman 85 Years, Available for Pre-Sale October 15

To our Hros:

DC Cards by Hro launched in 2022, and the excitement propelled the brand into a three-year collecting adventure that was shaped by your voices. Together, we have paved the way for hybrid trading card collecting. Now, as we begin to wind down the third season of DC Cards by Hro, we have come to the strategic decision that this season will be our last.

You may have some questions about what this means for your collection. We are actively working on a transition plan and have included FAQs below which should answer most of them. We will also share further details as we have them.

This means that we have two more collections to launch, one hybrid (“Batman 85 Years”) and one digital (“DC Showcase: Batman”), as well as some farewell surprises that will be revealed in the coming weeks, and then we’ll reach the end of our DC Cards by Hro adventure.

The two Batman-themed collections will take us back to where our journey with you started. Chapter 1, our debut hybrid trading cards collection, was themed after the Caped Crusader. We’re looking forward to ending this great adventure with you right where our journey began… in Gotham City. Pre-sale for our final hybrid collection begins on October 15, 2024, and the launch for our final digital collection will be announced in the coming weeks.

FAQ

What happens to my digital collection?

Your digital collection was built on blockchain technology. You own your digital collectibles, and they can be withdrawn from the Hro platform as described in our post here.

Will DC Cards by Hro digital collectibles retain their images?

The images in your digital collectibles will not go away.

Will it be possible to export cards to the blockchain in bulk?

We are looking into making a bulk export possible. Details will be shared as soon as we have them.

Can limits be removed on card scanning?

We are still working through our transition plans. We will share more information as soon as we are able to.

Will there still be a secondary marketplace?

Yes. DC Cards by Hro digital collectibles can still be traded on platforms that support IMX and Ethereum.

What will happen to DC Cards by Hro’s digital platform?

The platform for DC Cards by Hro will be fully operational through the end of this season. After January 31, 2025, certain features and functionalities will be disabled such as, but not limited to: Hro quests, Hro Reward Points, the Hro Rewards Program, crafting, burning, and the global leaderboards. As additional transition details are finalized, we’ll be sure to share that information ASAP..

Can sealed packs be transferred to the Kolex platform?

We are still working through our transition plans. We will share more information as soon as we are able to.

What happens to the Hro Discord server? When will it close?

The Hro Discord server will remain active until January 31, 2025.

What happens to my Hro Reward Points?

The Hro Rewards program will be discontinued once the End of Season 2024 snapshot has taken place on January 31 at 10:00 a.m. PST. This means Hro Reward Points will no longer accrue, and your Hro Reward Points balance will be zeroed out after this date. If you’re interested in using them, please do so prior to January 31, 2025.

Are you still going to do print on demand?

At this time, we don’t have plans to begin printing on demand, but we will let the community know if that changes.

When are you shutting down the Hro Shop?

At the conclusion of our season on January 31, 2025.

Will Mega Cards still unlock digital packs for limited-edition sets?

Mega Cards will not unlock digital packs after January 31, 2025 because that’s when quests will be disabled.

What happens to the cash balance in my account? When will final withdrawals take place?

Your cash balance will be available to withdraw on the Hro platform until January 31, 2025.

Will the QR code on my physical card still allow me to redeem its digital twin?

We are still working through our transition plans. We will share more information as soon as we are able to.

Are there any additional scan events planned?

There are no additional scan events planned at this time, but, if this changes, we will inform everyone.

Will planned Snapshots and Rewards move forward?

Yes, announced Snapshots and Rewards will proceed.

When do the final collections launch?

Pre-sale for our final hybrid collection, "Batman 85 Years", went live on October 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. PDT. 500 units of a special early Hro pre-order bundle were made available alongside the pre-sale, and will include a hybrid Mythic-tier card featuring Robin. The collection will launch on October 29, 2024.
“DC Showcase: Batman,” our final digital trading cards collection, will be on sale in November 2024, and timing will be announced in the coming weeks.

Will remaining stock go on sale / discount?

There are no current plans for discounted products, but, if this changes, we will inform everyone. All available inventory is currently for sale via the Hro Shop.
